Artist career support

I love how Jes is in my corner -- as a strategist, emotional support, problem solver, etc. Jes really makes it about helping me progress on my journey as a working artist and business person. Jes was outstanding, and I'm so grateful for our time talking through this year's challenges!
Helping me to move from dreaming phase of a project towards goals and phases and steps to get there as well...very engaging and supportive and a wonderful guide and resource.
Jes allowed me to bring my agenda to the session, so that I could get the information I was most in need of. The fact that she was zooming from her studio meant she could show me examples of her own work.
Since 2017, I have provided Artist Career Consultations through Springboard for the Arts. During a consultation, I get to know you and your work, help you set goals, and develop realistic strategies for achieving those goals.

I use Springboard's Work of Art Toolkit as a resource during these meetings. I also bring my experience as a self-employed, multidisciplinary artist to these sessions and the knowledge I have gained as an arts administrator and supporting other artists over the last 10 years. My approach is person-centered, patient, resourceful, and non-judging.

These meetings are not mentorship sessions. They are held over Zoom or over the phone.

Springboard for the Arts offers free or low-cost artist career consultations to artists, artist entrepreneurs, and creative small business owners.

MN-based artists can receive at least free 1-hour consultation. You may be able to receive more free sessions depending on where you are living in Minnesota.
