Moonplay Cinema is an artist-run project organized by Jes Reyes that promotes and celebrates auteur-driven experimental, documentary, and narrative filmmakers. We are committed to supporting underserved and underrepresented filmmakers who work across various genres and mediums. We use community organizing strategies to create opportunities to exhibit art, hold workshops, and produce content. www.moonplaycinema.org

Altered Esthetics Film Festival
​2014-2017

Altered Esthetics' largest program was the Ae Film Festival, an annual event dedicated to the organization’s mission to foster an inclusive and sustainable arts community through exhibitions, education, and outreach. This festival exhibits artists who explore the art of the moving image, including artworks representing experimental narratives, genre-expanding documentaries, contemporary art practices, and avant-garde poetics. The selections of short film and video work and accompanying screenings stretch the notion of what the moving image is and can be. Jes Reyes was the festival's founder and director from 2014-2017.
