I photograph trees - usually not in full, but in parts, because I am most drawn to tree branches. It is in the unique form of each branch that I see the body, life and strength of a tree. There is a deepness in how trees physially create divisions and forks in its boughs.
When I look back at my photos of trees I first notice the abstract nature to my images. But then I begin to see ways in which the tree is communicating the structure of its individual self.
